| INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING |
A sealer is already applied on the granite before arriving and if necessary after the granite is installed. However, the following care should be taken:-
Wipe with a soft wet cloth, use a mild washing up detergent. PLEASE NOTE: Anti-bacterial detergents may leave residue. However, always finish with clear water, and if you wish, use a chamois DO NOT USE harsh abrasive cleaners, bleaches, lemon extracts scrubbers, furniture polish or oil. If a little grease or other build-up occurs, use a soft cleaning pad or cloth which you would normally use on non-stick pans. Alternatively, we do sell a product called "Granite Magic"
| CARING FOR YOUR GRANITE TOPS |
DO NOT leave oil on granite surface DO NOT stand on the bench tops You can chop food on granite; however, it is preferable to use a chopping board. Granite will take the sharp edge off the knife. Wipe up any spills within 30 minutes. Granite can tolerate moderately hot temperatures for brief periods of time without warping, discolouring or otherwise being damaged. This makes the surface ideal for accidentally misplaced hot pots on the countertop. However, take care to avoid direct contact for a long time with very hot pots. Any care or maintenance advice is available at all times from Ten Commandments Granite & Marble. |
